Drug Uses
Flagyl is an antimicrobial and antiprotozoal drug with a broad-spectrum antibacterial action. This antibiotic is effective against gram-positive anaerobes, gram-negative anaerobes and protozoan parasites. When treating protozoan infections in adults and adolescents aged 12 and older, 400-800 mg of Flagyl is prescribed three times a day; the daily dose may vary from 300 to 1200 mg per day divided into three or four equal doses for children aged 1 year to 12 years.
Missed Dose
