Coreg Product Description
Drug Uses
Coreg provides antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic and membrane-stabilizing effects, and is effective in treatment of hypertension and different diseases of the heart muscle. Coreg can be used for monotherapy of cardiovascular diseases, or as a part of combination drug therapy of:
Myocardial infarction
Angina
Acute heart failure
High blood pressure
Frequency and duration of application of Coreg pills is indicated individually. To reduce the cardiovascular risks, caused by heart failure, it is recommended to take a 3.125mg Coreg dose twice a day for 14 days. Every two weeks, the dosage can be doubled (by 50 mg maximum per day in half-divided doses).
To treat serious cardiovascular conditions, Cordarone dosage can be increased up to two 25mg Coreg tablets every 12 hours. Upon each dose is increased, the risks of worsening heart failure should be evaluated.
Missed Dose
Coreg doses should not be too close together during the antiarrhythmic and antihypertensive therapy. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed Coreg dose.
More Information
Antihypertensive and other effects of Coreg are greatly reduced in 7-10 hours after the administration of the dose. The bioavailability of Coreg is not affected by food. The drug is better to be applied in the morning and in the evening.

Coreg Side Effects
The intensity and frequency of adverse reactions during Coreg application are the same for patients of both genders and at different ages.
