Celebrex is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent used for the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory joint diseases (IJD), as well as for pain relief of various intensity and localization. Celebrex effectively relieves pain and joint inflammation in patients with:
- degenerative rheumatic diseases (including osteoarthritis);
- juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (including systemic, polyarticular and pauciarticular types);

For relief of the symptoms of rheumatic diseases in children younger than two years and adults, the maintenance doses of Celebrex vary from 100mg to 200mg per day. For the management of severe rheumatoid arthritis flare-ups, the maximum daily dose of Celebrex 400mg can be prescribed.
Due to the fact that Celebrex capsules exert not only anti-inflammatory, but also a powerful analgesic effect, they can be used to relieve acute pain caused by:
- tooth extraction;
- trauma and sprains;
- orthopedic surgery.
Women can use Celebrex capsules for management of acute pain episodes caused by primary dysmenorrhea. To treat pain syndromes in adult men and women, the maximum daily dose of Celebrex is 400mg divided into two equal doses.
Missed Dose
