Augmentin is a combination antibiotic containing two active ingredients.
- Augmentin contains semisynthetic penicillin – Amoxicillin as the main antibacterial agent.

Missed dose
Nothing bad happens if just one dose of Augmentin is missed. However, if you miss several doses of Augmentin in a row, the likelihood of recurrence of bacterial infection will be higher. You can take the missed Augmentin dose as soon as remember, but under any circumstances do not double a dose of Augmentin.
More Information
To treat infectious diseases in children weighing over 40 kg, the same Augmentin doses are required as for treatment of bacterial infections in adults.
